If Labor Day is the official end of summer, let’s close it out with an excellent cocktail in hand, shall we? An alternative to your typical margarita, the paloma is made with grapefruit and lime juice, it’s sweet, sour and refreshing. Not to mention it’s easy to make and has a gorgeous pinky orange color that's reminiscent of both summer and fall.
Read on for the recipe that will have everyone at your table talking!
- 2 ounces tequila
- 2 ounces grapefruit soda (I love Poppi)
- Grapefruit wedges for garnish
- ½ ounce lime juice
- ¼ ounce agave nectar, or to taste
- Coarse sea salt, for the rim of the glasses
- Ice
Rub the rim of Neatly Nested’s stemless wine glass (despite the name, these glasses can be used for any beverage) with a grapefruit wedge, and dip it in a small plate of salt. Add the tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and sweetener to the glass, stir to combine, and add ice to fill the glass. Sweeten to taste, and garnish with a grapefruit or lime wedge. Enjoy!
